I went here today
As I walked around, a flood of memories came back to me....I felt suprised at how many came to my mind. I loved remembering them all as I walked past each spot where they took place:
Baptisms with the ward I grew up in. Sooo many family and friend weddings. Temple trips with college friends. Meeting up with mission friends. Christmas lights. Music programs. The Visitor's Center. Missionaries. Easter Pageant. Picnics. Each memory came with different feelings.
But one stood out the most.
Walking past a tree where I sat waiting and reading, where I came across Romans, chapter 8. Before that day, I had never read it before... I felt incredible things as I read it for the first time.
Especially when I read this:
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerers through him that loved us"
I've never forgotten that experience and I loved remembering it.
I love this place. And I miss it.
Walking around in the heat didn't bother me so much...but perhaps it is one reason why I kept noticing all the water pools and fountains ;)
After today, the phrase "Living Water" means a little more to me.
It is through Christ where we get it...and He invites us to drink and never thirst.
