Those Who Wander

Oh hey, I have a blog that I've neglected for a year! I am happy to be back at it ☺
I'm thinking about my life: All the places I've been, experiences I've had, friends I've made, etc.

I had a crazy, funny realization: For last 11 years of my life, I have moved EVERY year. Some years it was more than once. One year, I lived in 3 different states! Last year, 2013, was the first year that I actually stayed in the same town. I have lived in Connecticut (3 areas serving a mission), Rexburg, Idaho for school, Jackson Hole, WY for work and fun, Tolleson, AZ and Gilbert, AZ. My hometown Thatcher has been sprinkled few times in between all that. I currently live in Thatcher, but have still moved within the town.

To those on the outside, it may seem like I was lost...but it didn't feel that way. Sure, I didn't always know what my next step would be. I just flew by the seat of my pants sometimes, making choices that just felt right. I always felt I was being guided and that I was making the right choices.

Thinking back on it all, the places I've lived, the job skills I acquired, people I met... I felt like I had found myself, over and over again. Because of my job experiences, I learned I can become skilled at many things as long as I keep at it. I feel lucky to have had co-workers, roommates and friends from other countries and cultures who have shown me how they live and what they value. Throughout college, my musical skills and knowledge have stretched beyond which I believed I was capable.

I feel sooo different from the person I was 11 years ago. I've also noticed a significant change from who I was a year ago... and even a couple months ago!

In this moment, I feel like I am where and who I want to be. That feels good ☺
I feel grateful for an enriched life and for future opportunities to grow.
